Sleeping out on the water in the Florida Keys in a cute little floating tiki is now possible.
If you’re looking for a unique lodging experience with a twist and plan on being in the area be sure to check them out.
There are two tiki suites available to rent. The Original Tiki Suite and The Grand Tiki Suite both share the same amazing views and amenities such as paddle boards, snorkle gear, ac/heat, porch hammock, wifi, and Alexa. There is also a generator onboard!
You will have to schedule a water taxi with “Ship 2 Shore” to transport you to and from the Tiki Suite. There is a charge of $25 for this service and it’s about a 15 minute boat ride from the dock to the Tiki Suite.
You will have to bring everything that you may need (food, snacks, etc.) with you on your outbound trip unless you plan on booking the water taxi to go back and forth.
The morning sunrises are beautiful and the water is clear! Also don’t be surprised if you see some marine wildlife!
Booking is super simple and I would suggest booking on the actual Tiki Suites site vs Airbnb since it’s cheaper.
Overall, you should think of sleeping in the Tiki as a camping trip and plan as such. The water is really calm and boat traffic is very minimal. You probably don’t want to spend an entire evening preparing food. Instead, prepare your meals in advance so you can simply enjoy the night.
Also, being out on the water off the Florida Keys during the night time the weather can be cool or downright chilly. Make sure you bring a hoodie or sweatshirt if you plan on leaving the French doors open to enjoy the sound of the water at night!

Love this! It looks so peaceful and relaxing. I’m curious about bugs out there in the middle of the water, did you experience and exotic bugs or even familiar ones?
