I had the time of my life in Barbados! I stayed at the Courtyard Marriott which is not far from mostly everything that I wanted to do. The hotel itself was great and the staff were excellent and very helpful with booking different excursions. There are taxis everywhere so you can easily get from place to place and most excursions offer transportation. The beaches are so beautiful and clean and the locals were very friendly. I took a submarine ride with Atlantis Submarines and I would say that it’s worth it. The 40 minute ride takes you 150ft below the Atlantic Ocean and it gives you the opportunity to see a lot of fish, coral, and other sea life. But the best part is the commentary from the tour operator lol! His name was James and he definitely kept the crowd laughing. Shortly after, I did a kayak tour in a translucent kayak over 2 different shipwrecks. You can clearly see the shipwreck below you along with fish and other sealife. If you’re looking to go snorkeling over a shipwreck and swim with turtles then you have to go with barbadossnorkeling.com. You will board a glass bottom boat and head out to the turtles swim location. There you will not only see turtles but stingrays, flounder, bat fish, and a host of other creatures! Hayden was the best and he takes photos of you while you interact with the turtles and swim with the fish! Best of all the pics are FREE!!! The pick up location is easy to get to, the boat is clean, and there is plenty of Rum Punch to go around! Overall Barbados gets 2 thumbs up from me and hopefully I’ll be back soon!
